Job Title: Seasonal Host
Reports to: Service Manager // Service Director
Status: Non-Exempt // Non Tipped

City Winery on the Chicago Riverwalk provides Chicagoans and visitors a way to engage with the city in a unique way. Guests have a truly special experience with locally and sustainably-made products.

City Winery brings what we do best in the West Loop to the Riverwalk. The menu features our top selling items from the West Loop location. In addition, wine is served through a unique tap system to showcase the company's commitment to sustainability.

Position Summary
Hosts are responsible for delivering consistently exceptional guest experiences to patrons of City Winery. The Host serves as the first point of contact and is responsible for greeting guests while entering and departing the location, handling inquiries, and supporting in other areas of the operation as needed. This is a seasonal position that requires open availability.

Minimum Qualifications
Strong work ethic and exceptional guest service skills
1+ years as a host in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment, or equivalent relevant experience
Polished presentation
Effective communication skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to perform physical requirements of the role including standing/walking for entirety of shift, bending, pulling, pushing, using stairs, lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds

Responsibilities
Greet incoming and departing guests with exceptional hospitality
Provide guests with guidance, information, answer questions as needed
Accommodate guest requests while seeking management approval when appropriate
Perform opening and closing duties including set-up and breakdown of the area
Maintain organized and clean work areas
Attend trainings, tastings, meetings, as needed
Perform all other reasonably assigned duties
