Restaurant Manager

Description
Work somewhere awesome:

Careers with Hawksmoor Group are among the best – generous pay and benefits, award-winning restaurants, unrivalled career opportunities and some of the happiest people in the business (as voted by the people who work here). The Sunday Times has recognised us in their Best Companies awards, for seven years in a row, as one of the top 100 companies to work for in the UK.

Our newly refurbished 120 cover restaurant was our first Hawksmoor, and the general views is that it is where the “Hawksmoor spirit” is best embodied – many of the staff have worked there for years and would never consider elsewhere. Great steaks, great drinks and an amazing atmosphere, full of people who desperately care whether you enjoy your evening. Separate to our restaurant, our basement bar has become home to a crack team of cocktail-geek bartenders for the last 4 years with both the bar and the people winning numerous accolades as amongst the best the world’s cocktail industry has to offer.

We are located just down the road from our namesakes Nicholas Hawksmoor’s Christ Church, 2 minutes’ walk from Shoreditch High Street and 10 minutes’ walk from Liverpool Street, Old Street and Aldgate stations.

Work hard and be nice to people:

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team. To be considered, you’ll be consistent, reliable and excited to be a key part of supporting, leading and developing a happy and supportive team. You’ll be willing to learn new things and embrace new ways of managing and inspiring people. We believe in investing in people’s careers. We offer our managers 5 years of management development training and opportunities to grow; last year we filled over 80% of our management positions through internal promotion. We believe in treating people like adults, letting them be themselves at work and then supporting them to be the best they possibly can be. Most of all we try to fill our teams and surround ourselves with lovely and talented people.

When you join you will have access to a generous package of benefits, including:
• Support you with the tools and training you need to be the best you can be
• All of the service charge goes to the people who work in our restaurants, including everyone who works in the kitchen.
• 50% off food in our restaurants for two people (four if you want to bring your family)
• An optional paid day each year to use for volunteering
• Christmas & Boxing day off
• No staff uniform
• 28 days’ holiday that include service charge
• Exclusive savings on travel, shopping, restaurants, health and fitness benefits and more.
• Full time contracts of 48 hours a week
