Description
Celtic Developers Group is looking for a General Manger to join the team at our already established location. Celtic Developers Group consists of four bustling location in Union Square, Times Square, Midtown East and Chelsea which focuses on harboring good "craic" in a stunning environment. All of our high volume locations have fun bars where our guests feel like family.
Lillie's Union Square is a trendy destination pub. We serve pub food with an English twist. We are able to create classic cocktails as well as having a seasonal cocktail selection. We are named after the socialite Lillie Langtry from the 1800's and our decor is focused on Victorian Era England. What makes our location unique is the number of daily regulars we have. Lillie's is truly the gem of Union Square!
General Manager's Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead an already established team of 30 FOH employees
- Build relationships with our current customers and create bonds with each guest
- Ensure service is up to standards at all times
- Maintain an A letter grade from DOH by ensuring all food handling, sanitation, and food safety requirements are being followed
- Maintaining standards according to DOH, fire safety, and employment regulations
- Create a positive company culture of a commitment to excellence which must start from the top down
- Work with our marketing and and pr teams to generate sales
- Supervise late night hours and closing procedures
- Ease any guest complaints in a high volume environment with grace and charisma
- Oversee Bar team ensuring proper training and steps of service
- Manage weekly inventory of bar and restaurant supplies
- Must exemplify the highest standards in honesty, integrity, and leadership
- NYC DOH Food Handler's Certification
- At least 4 years of experience working in NYC restaurant business
- Extensive knowledge of beers and spirits
- Experience working in many levels of departments of the restaurant business with genuine respect for the role of every team member
- Proven team player willing to roll up your sleeves
- Must be able to work 2-4 night shifts per week depending on the needs of the bar
-A passive ego to maintain a positive attitude with the employees and guests
- The ability to cultivate a good time and keep it going
