Position: Sales Manager/Group Sales Manager

Department/Outlet: Sales and Marketing

Leader: Director of Sales and Marketing

Overview:

PUBLIC is seeking an experienced Corporate Sales Manager to join our team and be responsible for the sales effort of our property of 367 rooms.

Responsibilities:

 Achieve individual and team quarterly booking quotas.
 Participate in creation of annual marketing plan.
 Responsible for solicitation of new business and new from existing accounts.
 Creates research projects to uncover new potential local neighborhood business and penetrates existing local neighborhood accounts.
 Responsible for maintenance and growth of existing clients.
 Responsible for site inspections, client entertaining, client visits and hosting receptions and FAM’s.
 Attend trade shows / sales trips while staying in line with travel budgets.
 Reviews Daily arrivals; isolates potential new accounts.
 Participate in any ad hoc projects and or reporting as needed.
 Assists in completion of weekly / monthly reports
 Contribute to the strategic development of the hotel.
 Generates data, analyzes, and owns actions on assigned industries/territories
 Remains knowledgeable on new competition, changes in the market and needs of the hotel
 Deliver excellence in customer service as well as exploiting opportunities for growth within the business.
 Ensure that company reporting systems are adhered to.
 Champion our core values by adopting an open and consultative style of leadership and peer communication to provide a role model for all staff that inspires employees to make a positive contribution to the business.
 Maximize individual potential through a positive commitment to training and development and succession planning at all levels, in order to meet current and future manpower demands as well as addressing business issues.
 Ambassador and protector of the brand. Keeper of the brand and the company culture is carried at all levels of the company in the back and front of the house areas.
 Develop relationships with guests, group contacts, neighbors and other guests in order to provide personalized service.
 Resolve customer complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests.
 Respond to guests’ requests in an accurate and timely manner.
 Undertake regular internal inspections to ensure company’s assets are well maintained and protected.
 Expert in Sales and representation of the hotel, along with excellent knowledge of all facets of the property.
 Attend meetings with all levels of the team as needed in accordance with the advised meeting schedules.
 Communicates any product or service issues to DOSM On Property for immediate action with GM
 Performs any other related duties as requested by DOSM
 All other responsibilities assigned by Management.
 Fulfills additional duties as required based on business need.

 Computer literacy to include: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
 Experience with Delphi a plus but not required.
