Description
Company description
We are looking for a Team Lead to join our team and help turn an early-stage, celebrity-backed concept into the dominant player in experiential retail.

Duff’s Cakemix fosters creativity, community and joy through do-it-yourself (DIY) cake decorating experiences. We are capitalizing on the convergence of four major trends: the DIY movement, the growing preference for experiences over things, obsession with food/culture/entertainment, and the desire for social content. We recently expanded to three studios in the LA area. In addition, we have delivered more than 100,000 experiences to-date, attracted more than 150K Instagram followers, and have had a wide array of celebrities decorate with us, while generating extensive earned media. Originally made famous on the hit TV show, Ace of Cakes, namesake and co-founder Duff Goldman is currently the lead judge on Food Network’s Baking Championship franchise and has a commercial track record of high performing products in Walmart, Target, Michaels, and grocery stores nationwide.

Our investors have backed brands like DryBar, Beautycounter and Heal, and grown business like Univision and AOL. We are currently pursuing new locations throughout Southern California with an eye toward nationwide expansion in 3-5 years. We are intent on owning this niche of experiential retail and believe there is market potential for hundreds of stores. We need extraordinary talent to help us capitalize on this opportunity. We are looking for:

A self-starter who is eager to show initiative and problem solve
Strong communication skills with a high degree of empathy and emotional intelligence
Well-developed conflict resolution skills
Highly receptive to coaching and feedback
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes
