Part Time/ Contract Marketing Designer

Just Salad is looking to hire a Graphic Designer to join our corporate team. As our Graphic Designer, you will hone your design skills to execute digital and print materials while growing within our highly experienced marketing/design team. We are looking for a dedicated, talented, and passionate person to work on a variety of design projects including packaging, digital, and traditional print design. You will have the opportunity to grow under the mentorship of our Director of Visual Identity. 

This position is hybrid and will be onsite in the NYC office.

Reports to: Director of Visual Identity

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with our Brand Manager and Director of Visual Identity to create:
• Social media graphics for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram
• Digital assets for emails, landing pages, digital ads, websites, and more
• Printed materials such as flyers and print ads
• Update menu designs: print and digital
• Design assets for Grand Openings
• Assist at photoshoots
• Manage external vendors: print vendors and photographers
• Maintain design files and organization
• Research vendors and design trends
• Conduct store visits
• General office work

Our ideal candidate would have the following qualities:

• BS/BA Degree in Graphic Design from an accredited program
• Prior experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Personable and creative
• Ability to take direction and go with it
• Copy-writing skills
• Must have proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
• Proficiency with Google Suite
• Must understand best practices for both digital AND print
• Brownie points for Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, and Keynote
• Portfolio to share (PDF or online)

Compensation:

• 10-24 hours per week
• $20-25 per hour, depending on experience
