Description
Onda is looking for an Expo.

Onda is Santa Monica Proper’s signature restaurant which marks a global collaboration with Jessica Koslow (Sqirl, Silverlake) and Gabriela Camara (Contramar, Cala). These award-winning, tastemaker chefs draw from California and Mexican flavors, techniques and ingredients in the open kitchen, at the bar, and on the table. The art-filled lobby lounge is an intriguing setting for light bites, a deep dive on small-batch mezcals, and boutique wines by the glass.

The expo will create an efficient flow of orders from the servers to the kitchen, ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority and assist in the final preparation of dishes.

Job Overview
- Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the waiters to the kitchen
- Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
- Assist in the final preparation of dishes
- Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
- Deliver orders to maintain fast service
Communicate important information between the kitchen and the servers
Handle complaints and support other tasks as needed


Requirements
- Proven experience as food expeditor
- Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant
- Well-organized and ability to lead and direct people
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities
- A customer-oriented approach
- Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
