We're searching for a talented Assistant Manager to join our team here at The Wheatsheaf. 

On the menu, our all-day food offer focuses on seasonality and sharing - from small plates to hearty gastropub classics - while weekends are all about Saturday brunch and stunning Sunday roasts. Behind the bar you'll find the best of London’s craft beer scene, classic cocktails, small-batch gins and artisan wines. Located opposite Tooting Bec Station, we’re the perfect spot for a few pints, a quick bite, or dinner with friends and family, and our street-side terrace is made for al fresco drinking and dining.

The right candidate is someone who is looking to grow within our company; who is excited about developing a team, someone who loves running a great pub and somebody who has the energy to fill a room. They must be the motivator for their team and the charismatic coach to guide and engage their team into building something brilliant.

You Are:

• An Assistant Manager looking to take your next career step and challenge yourself in a large volume business, able to work closely alongside the General Manager to develop the offer
• An effective communicator who can lead by example, coach and develop their team
• An ambitious Assistant Manager who has a desire to be a part of an independent group and expanding brand
• Able to responsibility for our team on shift to ensure service standards and safety and security expectations are all met
• Are passionate about training our team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to provide an unforgettable experience for our customers
• Able to provide an outstanding experience for our customers by delivering service excellence and demonstrating behaviours in line with our vision and values, acting as a role model for staff members
• Able to work with the GM to train and uphold the agreed standards of performance, for the whole team to achieve and aspire to exceed
• Able to liaise with the General manager and the management team, support where appropriate in consistently developing further efficient operations, procedures and systems to ensure the business continues to progress
