American Social provides superior guest service to existing and potential guests at venue while generating revenue through effective networking and relationship building.
American Social “AMSO” offers an upscale, yet casual dining experience. All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with departmental and American Social policies, procedures, and practices.
Enforces minimum age requirements for existing and potential guests of the venue; promotes a friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff.
Markets company-related entertainment and events to potential guests, including upcoming venue events and nights.
Works with the general manger to approve table comps by evaluating performance, competition, etc.
Adheres to predetermined minimum sales requirements (if required); regularly monitors table, ticket and guest list reservations; ensures all VIP table reservations are entered into the system with complete information, such as guest’s full name, cell number, and email address.
Maintains full knowledge of operating hours, menu selections, pricing, and venue availability; collaborates with marketing, sales, and operations employees and management to anticipate guest needs prior to and during operating hours.
Determines bi-weekly sales goals by evaluating factors affecting business levels, including but not limited to: weather, competition, saturation of talent at other venues in town, special events, conventions etc.
Works closely with all venue management to develop and implement work practices and routines to increase sales and generate venue revenue.
Represents the venues in a positive and professional manner both on and off property.
Communicates effectively to direct supervisor thru daily and weekly recaps with regard to workload, schedule, marketing strategy, customer development, social media, events, requirements.
Attends all applicable meetings, promotions and mandated shifts; provides input in team meetings to develop new strategies for sales and applicable operations.
Handles difficult guests and situations in a calm, professional and prudent manner.
Performs other related duties as requested.
Required:
At least 2 years of customer service or related experience.
Valid Driver’s License.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:
Knowledge of nightclub and entertainment functions, including experience working in a similar position.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
